It is, hydraulically operated, and diaphragm actuated. Backwash hydraulic valve is designed for backwashing of filtration systems.<\/p>\n<p>The valve can be set in one of two positions: 1. Filtration mode allows flow from the inlet [1] manifold into the filter [2]. Water forces the large rubber diaphragm [3], requiring minimal activation pressure, to move up. 2. Flushing mode closes the filter inlet and opens the flush outlet [2], resulting in flow reversal in the filter. The upper control chamber [4] causes the high pressure, together with the spring [5] force, to move the diaphragm back and closes the inlet manifold.
